'Class Cultivate: Online Class and Tutoring Project' by Group 3

Output Introduction:

Grade 11-Vygotsky’s groups are tasked by their Empowerment Technologies teacher Mrs. Judith Buenaventura to look for problems in their community in the education, health, and economic justice aspects. After that, the groups were told to make a concept paper containing the introduction, purpose, description, support, contact information, and sources of their plan. And lastly, they are told to use their ICT skills to create a video presentation, teaser, infographics, or blog in order to emphasize their point and encourage people to support their cause.

Below is Group 3's campaign chosen to be included in this particular section of this website titled: Class Cultivate: Online Class and Tutoring Project.

INTRODUCTION:

Schools and colleges were shut down in the second week of March as a preventive measure to contain the spread of COVID-19. The pandemic had a severe impact, and one of the area that was affected is education and because of our current situation, the education system of the Philippines turn over to digital to catch up with the new normal, but unfortunately the Philippines is not totally ready on that kind of platforms so not all students can follow on that way of learning. So our group came up to this project because of what we observed in our community. We named our project Class Cultivate: Online Class and Tutoring project. Online class and Tutoring project are for those students who cannot really access or cope up the new online learning.

PURPOSE:

This project aims to identify the efficacy and efficiency of learning and teaching methods in this modern era and also identify the difficulties and how we can modify it to become more effective, especially to those who have difficulty in coping up with this new normal through online tutoring and group study sessions.

DESCRIPTION:

As we know, online classes are not easy to come up with. Even if the government gave us gadgets to keep up. There's a lot of students struggling with their school work and worst they don't usually get what their lesson is.

That's why our group came up with this project through observation on our community "Online Class and Tutoring Project". We decided to make this project not simply to help the students for their online class. It is because we all know that the education system here in the Philippines cannot support this kind of educational system.

SUPPORT:

Mainly, students who are willing to help and some teachers will be our tutors. You can also support our project by participating as tutors as well or lending learning materials for the students.

"The most significant moment in the course of intellectual development, which gives birth to the purely human forms of practical and abstract intelligence, occurs when speech and practical activity, two previously completely independent lines of development, converge."
